REPORT of the first stage of volunteer work on humanitarian support and protection of the country during the Russian invasion

March 23, 2022

As of March 18, we have managed to raise more than 20,000 euros in charitable contributions (including 17,943.66 euros and 3,239.37 dollars) to support the humanitarian needs. These are funds from environmental donors from European countries and around the world.

For efficient and prompt use of donor funds, we work with various organizations, this time with:

association of volunteers linked to the 24th OMBR named after King Daniel.

NGO “White Horvats” (https://www.facebook.com/bilihorvaty)

Together with the team of volunteers linked to the 24th OMBR named after King Daniel, we:

  •       purchased a used Chevrolet car for the needs of the humanitarian support in Chernihiv city and around, which has already been delivered to the frontline.
  •       bought and delivered another batch of aid, namely: food, thermal clothing, tactical gloves, balaclavas, hats, thermal insoles, winter sleeping bags, mats, hygiene products, noise-cancelling headphones, ballistic goggles; chainsaws; electric saw; diesel generator; auto parts; many different medicinal drugs based the list.

In total, our organization transferred 2,500 euros from the charitable funds raised for these needs.

Together with the NGO “White Horvats”:

paid for the purchase of medical supplies (32 tactical tourniquets), and also covered the cost of gasoline for the delivery of humanitarian aid to numerous destinations in Ukraine (in the front zone) (2000 euros).

The part of the money was also transferred to a military hospital in Lviv (300 euros) to improve the treatment of the wounded civilians and soldiers.

Cooperation with our Ukrainian partners helps to assist more quickly where it is needed. We are grateful to them and satisfied with the efficiency of the work.

It is important to realize that the war will be a long one, but the volunteer movement needs to ensure the continuity of the process of supporting both civilians and the military, which will be a huge challenge. In the long process, there will be fatigue on the part of both the donor and the recipient. These risks need to be prevented now.

We are grateful to the many donors we will present. We will also regularly inform you on our Facebook and web pages about the receipt and expenditure of funds.

As we have already reported, from the beginning of Russia’s aggression until the victory, our organization, the Danube-Carpathian Program, will work mainly to meet the humanitarian needs of free Ukrainians and to support the Ukrainian resistance.

 Please, support our humanitarian work:
