REPORT of the second stage of volunteer work on humanitarian support and protection of the country during the Russian invasion

April 15, 2022

As of April 8, we have managed to raise more than 25,000 euros in charitable contributions (including 20 797 euros and 4 995 dollars, 500 pounds and  7,980 UAH) to support the humanitarian needs. These are funds from environmental donors from European countries and around the world.

For efficient and prompt use of donor funds, we work with various organizations, this time with:

👉association of volunteers linked to the 24th OMBR named after King Daniel.

👉NGO “White Horvats” (https://www.facebook.com/bilihorvaty)

👉NGO “Families of Fallen Heroes of Lviv Region”

👉Community with. Krushelnytsia (Lviv region)

🟢 Together with the team of volunteers linked to the 24th OMBR named after King Daniel, we:

  •   purchased a used NISSAN car for the needs of the front and humanitarian support in Popasna, which has already been delivered to the frontline. In total, our organization transferred UAH 117,000 from the charitable funds raised for these needs.

🟢 Together with the NGO “White Horvats”:

  • paid for the purchase of a thermal imager in the front zone (2,590 euros).

🟢Together with the NGO “Families of Fallen Heroes of Lviv Region” we

  • bought soldiers’ ammunition including: 60 pairs of tactical sneakers, 8 helmets, 33 medical kits and 35 holders for thermal imagers on magnets (UAH 85,000).

🟢  Provided humanitarian aid to displaced children and purchased medical supplies (UAH 10,000).

🟢   Purchased food for a group of refugees who are cared for by the mountain community of Krushelnytsia village (Lviv region) (UAH 3,000).

🟢  We also provided logistical support to the @ WWF-Ukraine network for the shipment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine for more than 20,000 euros

Cooperation with our Ukrainian partners helps to assist more quickly where it is needed. We are grateful to them and satisfied with the efficiency of the work.

It is important to realize that the war will be a long one, but the volunteer movement needs to ensure the continuity of the process of supporting both civilians and the military, which will be a huge challenge. In the long process, there will be fatigue on the part of both the donor and the recipient. These risks need to be prevented now.

We are grateful to the many donors we will present. We will also regularly inform you on our Facebook and web pages about the receipt and expenditure of funds.

As we have already reported, from the beginning of Russia’s aggression until the victory, our organization, the Danube-Carpathian Program, will work mainly to meet the humanitarian needs of free Ukrainians and to support the Ukrainian resistance.

Please, support our humanitarian work:
