Tom Heap: “This week marks the one-year anniversary of Russia’s devastating war in Ukraine, which had a terrible human impact. One of our viewers Pete got in touch via the Sky News app to ask what damage is Putin’s War doing to the environment to our planet”.

Bohdan Prots: “Thank you Pete for the question. I am now in Lviv.

Besides economic, social, and human loss, environmental destruction is huge. The estimated damage is already 50 billion pounds. And currently, almost half of a million hectares of forest are under occupation or in the war zone.
