The project itself was the only Ukrainian one among 250 nature conservation projects that participated in the voting by the European Nature Conservation Association (EOCA). 4,000 people voted to save the Transcarpathian daffodil valley, with an area of 256 hectares, and this allowed it to take 8th place, while seven winning projects received funding from the EASO.
However, a German company that manufactures tourist equipment (two shops of this company are located in Transcarpathia) decided to support the project. In the near future, the “Danube-Carpathian Program” and the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve promise to inform about the work they will start to preserve the unique territory – the “Valley of Narcissus” and its rich biodiversity!
