Besides economic, social, and human loss, environmental destruction is huge. First, it’s a destruction of nature and its habitats ecoccoridores, contamination of habitats, soil and water with mines toxic elements, river pollution, radiation risks waste in huge amount, surface and vegetation forest cover damage, animals killed or run away. The estimated damage is already 50 billion pounds. And currently, almost half of a million hectares of forest are under occupation or in the war zone. And another 2.4 million hectares have been liberated but need to be restored.”
