A house for buffaloes was built on the territory of the Valley of Narcissus in the Khust district of the Transcarpathian region
This was reported on the page of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional Government, reports “Еспресо.Захід”.
From now on, the buffaloes of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve have their home among the largest center of narrow-leaved narcissus in Central Europe.
It is known that the house for buffaloes was built as part of the project “Save the Narcissus Valley” jointly by the NGO “Danube-Carpathian Program” and the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve.
“The architects of meadow vegetation and an additional tourist attraction of the Narcissus Valley – buffaloes – once traditional for the Carpathians, have practically disappeared. Therefore, the habitat of buffaloes will contribute to the preservation of this species in Ukraine,” the post reads.
