REPORT of the second stage of volunteer work on humanitarian support and protection of the country during the Russian invasion

The forests of Lviv region can be visited again. However, only by foot

April 15, 2022

The ban on visiting forests has been preserved only for vehicles.
The Head of the Lviv Regional Military-Civil Administration Maksym Kozytskyi canceled his previous order of April 4 “On the ban on visiting forests by the population and the entry of vehicles into them.”

The new order prohibits visiting forests by all types of vehicles (except for public roads and foresters’ transport), as well as a ban on making bonfires in forest areas, except for specially equipped places and areas designated for recreation.

We welcome this decision and thank the Head of the Lviv Regional Military-Civil Administration Maksym Kozytskyi for his prompt response.

As for the ban on the entry of vehicles into forests – we fully support this decision.

Vehicles are an additional risk factor for fires. In addition, they are a disturbance factor for wild animals, which is unacceptable during the quiet season.
