Three examples, completely different in place, time and method, demonstrate how the contribution of people is fundamental for ecological interventions to be effective, sustainable and replicable in urban or natural settings.

A journey around the world to the planet’s hottest spots in search of nature-based solutions. In Greenland, Inuit communities work with researchers to develop climate models. In Lviv, Ukraine, 58.8 hectares of urban peatlands are being restored despite the ongoing war. In Milan, a university square is being transformed into an open-air laboratory.
