Video: One Day in the Valley of Narcissus

May 16, 2025

We invite you to spend a day in the Valley of Daffodils: from dawn, when the daffodils are still covered in frost, until sunset. The colors, the first rays of sunlight on the flowers, the dew, the night calls of the woodpeckers and the chirping of the jay – we have put all this into one minute.

For four years, the NGO “Danube-Carpathian Program” has been taking care of the Valley of Daffodils, together with the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve.

Watch now

The war has an indirect impact even on such remote areas as the Valley of Daffodils: budget cuts, lack of people, and opportunities to earn money due to fewer tourists. All this significantly affects the ability of nature reserves to protect such incredible places.

We sincerely thank our European partners, thanks to whom in this extremely difficult time we have the opportunity to support the incredible Valley of Daffodils and its rich and diverse life – EOCA and ORTOVOX, with whom we started this work, and Whitley Fund for Nature, with whose support we continue this work now.

We believe that despite all the difficulties, the Valley of Daffodils must be preserved for the future of a free and peaceful Ukraine and our children. And we sincerely thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for your titanic work, which allows us to continue our work to preserve the natural heritage of Ukraine.
