Did you notice the bird in the photo?
The bird in the photo (Certhia familiaris) is a regular inhabitant of Ukrainian parks.
Although, for the most part, city dwellers notice and can distinguish only 3-5 species of birds in the wild, in our parks, on average, about 40 species can be found.
Birds, like wildlife in general, can have a significant impact on people’s mental well-being.
674 days. That’s how long it has been since the full-scale invasion of Russia. For 674 days, Ukrainians live in constant stress, fear for the lives of their relatives and friends, experience losses, and experience pain. How to resist and support your mental health?

There are dozens of studies that convincingly indicate the positive effect of nature therapy for physical and mental health.
The singing of birds helps to enjoy and relax from the noise of the city, and the bright and contrasting colors of individual species are pleasing to the eye. It is very interesting just to observe the behavior of birds. Sometimes their relationships are very similar to human relationships.

Bird watching, bird listening and being in nature cannot replace a doctor, but it can be an important aid in relieving stress, treating insomnia and anxiety.

Bird watching and bird listening is also an effective way to experience life here and now. It helps to feel a better connection with actual reality, with a specific moment of security and certainty. It can help form points of support for this moment, restoring the ability to look ahead in time more calmly. Restores the ability to feel positive emotions, helps to visualize the fact that life goes on.

New Year is coming soon. And this is a great opportunity to try a new hobby – bird watching. Birds and wildlife will help us to be stronger and endure in the most difficult times, to go with new strength to victory and support the defenders.
