How the Ukrainian army protects the nature of Ukraine

Russian Defense Minister Shoigu’s letter to Putin “About felling in the territories of a special military operation” perfectly illustrates Russia’s attitude to nature.
The purpose of the document was to obtain a permit for the total felling of Ukrainian “forests, trees, shrubs, and green spaces. Fellings of any intensity and any age were planned on the seized lands, regardless of the form of ownership and category of land with the right to use the obtained wood.” Letter made public by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
No peaceful community voice, appeal from the scientific community, or public opposition could stop this terrorist military dictatorship.
We, the nature conservation community, perfectly understand that if there is no independent and free Ukraine, our wild nature will turn into raw material for the aggressor.
